Lois Ferne (Clark) Boyle

Lois Ferne (Clark) Boyle, age 81, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, 
died at 9:15 P.M. on Sunday, February 19, 2006, at her residence in Mount Vernon, Illinois. 

She was born on October 19, 1924 in Farrington Township in Jefferson County, Illinois a daughter 
to Jesse Clark and Susie (Wilson) Clark. She married Joe P. Boyle on January 26, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, 
Illinois. 
Lois is survived by her husband, Joe Boyle of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one daughter, 
Patricia Jo Harget and husband David of Woodlawn, Illinois; one grandson, Jeremy Shroyer 
and wife Kristin of Woodlawn, Illinois; one grand-daughter, Alaina Jo Hinze and husband 
Chris of Pocahontas, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Emma Grace Hinze and Rylee Manion. 

Her parents, two brothers: Glen Clark and Gleason Clark, preceded her in death. 

Lois was a Credit Manager for Montgomery Ward. Lois was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church 
in Mt. Vernon, worked in Sunday School for many years and was a former member of the 
Junior Women's Club. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home 
in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2006 
at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Merritt Strickland will officiate. 
Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois For those who wish, memorials 
may be given to Logan Street Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home or may 
be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864.
