JAMES DANIELS 101-YEAR-OLD RETIRED RAIL WORKER

James W. Daniels, a retired railroad worker from Grant Fork, Ill., died Saturday (May 23, 
1998). He was 101. 

Mr. Daniels was born in Jefferson County, Ill. He was a laborer for the Illinois Central 
Railroad. He retired in 1961. 

His wife, Ruby, died in 1967. The couple had two sons, who also are deceased. 

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Knutt of Keyesport, Ill.; and numerous grandchildren 
and great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Irwin-Scott Chapel in Glen Carbon, Ill. 

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Centralia City Cemetery in Centralia, 
Ill.
