Estelee C. Gaither

Estelee C. Gaither, 92, of Bonnie, died at 3:18 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2008,
at the Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.She was born in Jefferson County on Feb.
9, 1916, the daughter of Don and Retha (Kirk) Carroll. She worked for many
years at the garment factory in Mt. Vernon.She married Oral Gaither, and
they lived in Franklin County in the Benton and Akin area for several years.
Mr. Gaither died on March 26, 1987. Mrs. Gaither was a member of the Bonnie
Church of God.Mrs. Gaither is survived by one brother, J. Dwight Carroll of
Anderson, Ind., and by several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, cousins,
relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; by
one brother, Duane Carroll; and by one sister, Virdine Moger.Graveside
funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Kirk Cemetery in Ina
with Rev. Eddie Hale officiating. There will be no visitation. Those
attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery.The Johnston
Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
