Robert A. Harlow

 A large number from this vicinity attended the funeral of Robt. Harlow
which was preached by Rev. A. L. Smith at Salem last Sunday at 11
o’clock. Uncle Bobby as he was called, was born in Tenn., Dec. 15, 1816,
died Jan. 2, 1908, aged 92 years 17 days. He had been a faithful member of
the (East Salem) Baptist church for many years.
(NOTE: Robert A. Harlow was a son of Overton and Elizabeth (Hunt)
Harlow. He married Clarinda Serena Lisenby, daughter of William Melvin and
Isabella (Young) Lisenby on 1 May 1844 in Jefferson County. He and
“Rena” are buried at East Salem cemetery.)
