Luther W. Moore

Luther W. Moore, 81 of 2706 Mannen, died at 1:30 a.m. today at Good Samaritan Hospital. 
He was a retired carpenter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Lyle 
Bundy officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Woodlawn.
Friends may call at Myers Chapel after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Born on July 13, 1893, in Boyd, he was the son of William J. and Mary (Fisher) Moore.
On Jan. 12, 1926, he was married to Ethel McLaughlin, who died in 1953.
He was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ, and he was a member of the Veterans 
of World War I.
Mr. Moore is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Treva Satterfield and Mrs. Glenna Johnson, 
both of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Flanagan of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren, and 
one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
