>George C. Ord Died Late Friday;
Funeral Sunday

George C. Ord died yesterday afternoon at 6:30 o'clock at the home of Willie Davis, 
in McClellan township. Mr. Ord had been in very poor health for the last year, and 
death was due to Bright's disease. 

Mr. Ord was a son of the late Gus Ord and wife, and was born in Jefferson county. 
He was 65 years old , the 17th of last August. 

Mr. Ord was a farmer, and made his home with Willie Davis and family. He was never married. 

He was a member of the M. E. church, and was a good citizen and enjoyed the respect of all 
who knew him. 

Mr. Ord is survived by two brothers, Morton Ord, Mt. Vernon, and one sister, Mrs. Lennie Hodge, 
St. Louis. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at Wolf Prairie church, and burial 
will follow at Wolf Prairie cemetery.
