James Warren
Bluford
James Clyde WARREN, 66, Bluford,
died 5 a.m. July 28 1990, at Good Samaritan
Regional Health Center. Mr. WARREN
taught school for 24 years until retiring
from Ritenour School District in
Overland, Mo. Following his retirement, he
was a substitute teacher at Mt.
Vernon Township and Woodlawn high schools.
He was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Bluford,
a son of Clyde N. and Mae (ROBERTSON)
WARREN. June 23, 1968, he married
Sarah E. FINFROCK, who survives. Services
will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hughey
Funeral Home with the Rev. Rosemary HARRIS
officiating. Burial will follow
in Union Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call 5
to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home. In addition to his wife, Mr. WARREN is
survived by one son, Louis James
WARREN of Bluford; one daughter, Mrs.
Stephen (Debbie) STUMBAUGH of Columbus,
Ohio; one brother, John WARREN and
wife, Janet, of Nampa, Idaho; two
sisters, Margie HESS of Wayne City and
Mrs. Harvey (Irene) LOVIN of Bluford;
one uncle, Lawrence WARREN and wife,
Josephine, of La Grande, Ore.; two
aunts, Belle WARREN of Mt. Vernon and Iva
ROBERTSON of Cudahy, Calif.; one
grandson, Jesse STUMBAUGH; and several
nephews, nieces and cousins. Mr.
WARREN received a bachelor's from Southern
Illinois University, Carbondale
and a master's in education from the
University of Illinois. He attended
Bluford Grade and High schools. Mr.
WARREN was a World War II veteran
of the Army Medical Corps, 63rd Division,
and a member of the 63rd Division
Association and American Legion. He was a
member of Union Chapel United Methodist
Church and Jefferson County
Historical Society. He was preceded
in death by his parents.
