Anna Hill

Anna E. Hill, daughter of William Wesley & Sarah Ann (GIRTMAN) Dunn, was born October 24, 1912 in Goreville, IL. She departed this life Friday evening, June 13, 2003, at 8:40pm at her home near Tunnel Hill, Illinois. At the time of her passing Anna had attained the age of 90 years, 7 months, & 20 days.

Anna was united in marriage to John O. Hill on May 19, 1934. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1971.

Survivors include; a Son, John Richard & Sheree Hill of Tunnel Hill, IL; 2 Daughters - Fern & Dale Coonce of Tunnel Hill, IL. and Phyllis & Joe Perry of Vienna, IL; 9 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great - Great Grandson; a Sister - Fairee Adams of Marion, IL; Nieces & Nephews.

In addition to her Parents & Husband, Anna was preceded in death by; 3 Brothers - Virgil Dunn, Lora Dunn, & Francis Dunn; a Sister - Esther Gunn, and a Son-in-Law - Kenneth Johnson.

Anna was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening & canning.

Anna was a member of the Busby Chapel Freewill Baptist Church near Goreville, IL.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, June 16, 2003, at 1pm at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Fred Meece will officiate. Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery, north of Vienna. Friends may call after 6pm Sunday at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.

Memorials may be made to the Taylor Cemetery Association or to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
