Arvilla Parrish Mrs. Arvilla Parrish, the daughter of I. N. and Elizabeth Kelley, was born June 5, 1872, in Johnson County. When she was a young lady, Mrs. Parrish was converted, baptized and then united with the Gen. Baptist Church at Bethlehem. She has always lived here in this community and for the last seven years has been a resident of Goreville. It was here in the home on Friday morning, Feb. 13th that Mrs. Parrish went to her eternal rest. She was united in marriage to Almus Parrish, a faithful husband and a loving father. To this union was born one child, a daughter, Mrs. Edith Davis of Goreville. Mrs. Parrish has two sisters, who survive her passing: Mrs. Sam Cash and Mrs. Sam Simmons of Marion, Illinois. Also one sister, Mrs. Sam James and four brothers, W. P., Sandy, Toby and Joel, who preceded her in death, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Carl Ruhe and Harry Lynn Davis, as well as four great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
