Bonnie M. Perry

Bonnie M. Perry, age 81 years, a resident of the Raleigh community and a former resident of Goreville, IL.
Passed away Saturday morning, May 13, 2006, at 1:45 AM at the home of her stepdaughter, Judy Webb, with whom Bonnie resided.


Bonnie was born December 1, 1924 in Neosho, MO. She was the daughter of Ottie Pendergraft and Alma (Taylor) Pendergraft.


Bonnie was united in marriage to Ralph T. Perry on December 14, 1956 in Corinth, MS. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2001.


Survivors include: a Stepdaughter: Judy & Mike Webb of Raleigh, IL; 3 Stepsons: Rev. Tex & Mazzie Perry of Goreville, IL, Max & Cheryl Perry of Creal Springs, IL, Wex Perry of St. Louis, MO Several Step Grandchildren, Step Great Grandchildren & Step Great-Great Grandchildren; A Brother - Roy & Naomi Pendergraft of Willard, MO; A Sister – Pat Hulette of Parsons, KS; Nieces & Nephews.


In addition to her Parents & Husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by: A Stepson – Rex Perry; 2 Step Grandchildren; 2 Brothers – Leon Pendergraft & Fred Pendergraft; and A Sister – Flossie Edmondson.


Bonnie was a graduate of the Exeter, MO High School. She was employed, prior to her retirement in 1973, as a house mother at the Sailors & Soldiers Children’s Schools in St. Charles, IL and Bloomington, IL.
Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Galatia, IL.
Along with her husband Ralph, Bonnie enjoyed owning, raising & showing thoroughbred race horses.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, May 16, 2006, at 11 AM at the Friendship General Baptist Church (1635 Friendship Loop, Goreville, IL). Rev. Tex Perry will officiate. Interment will be in the Busby Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 PM Monday at the Friendship General Baptist Church.
