Dean Betts

Dean Elliott Betts, son of Randy Betts & Jill (Trovillion) Betts, was born September 28, 1984 in Paducah, KY.
He departed this life Sunday afternoon, June 13, 2004 at 12:15 PM near Vienna, the result of a motorcycle accident. At the time of his passing, Dean had attained the age of 19 years, 8 months & 15 days.

Survivors include: His Parents – Randy & Jill Betts of Vienna, IL; a Sister – Teale Marie Betts of Vienna, IL; a Brother – Evin Lane Betts of Vienna, IL; His Maternal Grandparents – Glenn & Sally Trovillion of Vienna, IL; His Paternal Grandmother – Sue Betts of Cambria, IL; a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other relatives & many dear friends.

Dean was preceded in death by: His Paternal Grandfather – Dean Betts; His Paternal Great Grandparents – Donald & Dorothy Teal.

Dean was a 2003 graduate of the Vienna High School. Dean had served as Homecoming King, Prom King and was a former class President. Dean had recently completed his Freshman year at Shawnee Community College, where he served as a Student Ambassador.

Dean was employed by Endrizzi Lawn Care Service. Dean was a member of the Gilead Church near Simpson. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. Dean made every day count and he loved making people laugh.

Dean leaves his family & many friends to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, June 16, 2004, at 2 PM at the Gilead Church, near Simpson, IL. Rev. Bud McDannel will officiate. Interment will be in the Gilead Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 PM Tuesday and from 7 AM – 12 Noon Wednesday at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. The body will lie-in-state at the Church from 1 PM – 2 PM Wednesday.
