Elizabeth Frances (Lannom) Kelley
Died Wednesday Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at Terry Cemetery Elizabeth Frances (Lannom) Kelley, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. S. James at 1001 West Prairie Street, Wednesday morning, March 31, 1926 at 3:40 o'clock following an illness of two months. The deceased was born in Wilson County, Tenn. on April 8, 1848 and at the time of her death was 77 years, 11 months, and 23 days of age. The deceased was the daughter of Presley and Mary (ALLSUP) Lannom and was educated in the common schools of Tennessee. she moved with her family to Johnston County, Illinois and in 1869 united in marriage to Isaac N. Kelley. To this union eight children were born, five survive; Mrs. Arvilla Parrish of Goreville, Mrs. Frances James of Marion, W. P. Kelley of Goreville, Mrs. Sam (Lee) Simmons and Mrs. Sam (Minnie) Cash, both of Marion, three children died several years ago. The husband of the deceased passed away seventeen years ago and for the past seven years she has been residing with her daughter Mrs. James on West Prairie Street. She is also survived by two brothers, W. J. Lannom of Johnston City and T. W. Lannom of Marion and one sister, Mrs. Cal Kelley of Goreville. The deceased had been ill two months with cancer of the liver prior to her death. The funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon April 1, 1926 at the Terry Cemetery one mile north of Goreville by Rev. T. J. Rushing and interment will occur at the Terry Cemetery. |
