Ellen Louise Douglas

Ellen Louise Douglas, 90, of Goreville passed away at 10:34 AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at her home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Glenn Southard officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Mrs. Douglas was born on April 2, 1916 in Butler County, Kentucky to John and Ellen (Wilson) Southard. She married Henry Douglas on May 27, 1938; he preceded her in death on September 6, 1992.

Survivors include daughter, Sue Dunn of Goreville; grandchildren, Vicki and Buddy Groome of Xenia, Randy Dunn of Goreville, Rick and Judy Nannie of Goreville and Jo Ellen and George, Jr. Berlin of Shawneetown; great grandchildren, Jeremy Parr, Amy and Cantor Carpenter, Lucas Nannie, Emily Nannie and Cliff Dunn; great great grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Carpenter; sister, Irene Southard; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Wanda Nannie; brother, Thomas Southard, and sisters, Nettie Allen, Norval Basham and Loretta Lacefield.

She was a member of Busby Chapel Church. She enjoyed taking care of people, especially her grandchildren. She was a special mom and grandmother.
