Eula Underwood

Elua Clara Underwood, age 87, of Vienna died Monday, October 28, 1985 at 4:10 a.m. in Marion Memorial Hospital, Marion.

She was born March 7, 1898 at Pope County, Illinois, the daughter of Charlie and Mollie Lawrence Bethel. Her husband, Ray Underwood preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Howard Underwood of Vienna; 2 grandchildren, Karen Theiry of Bell River and Danny Underwood of Paducah, KY.

Three brothers, Ray, Jewell and Gene Bethel preceded her in death.

She attended Pope County and Marion Public Schools. She was a member of the Vienna First Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 30, 1985 at 1 p.m. at Whitnel Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial was in the Robinson/Wise Cemetery with Rev. Bill Gholson assisted by the Rev. Donald Bethel officiating.

Whitnel Funeral home in Vienna was in charge of arrangements.
