Fairiee Adams

Fairiee Adams, daughter of William Wesley Dunn &Sarah Ann (GIRTMAN) Dunn, was born July 25,1910 in the Goreville Township, Johnson County, Illinois. She departed this life Sunday, August 17, 2003, at 9:20pm at the Fountain Nursing Home in Marion, IL. At the time of her passing, Fairiee had attained the age of 93 years & 23 days.

Fairiee was united in marruage to Roy Adams on July 20, 1927 in Goreville, IL. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2001.

Other survivors include; 1 daughter-in-law, Melva Adams of New Castle, IN; 3 grandchildren- Gary Adams & his wife Linda, of Indianapolis, IN, Kevin Adams and his wife Sharon, of Indianapolis, IN,& Denise Caito of Indianapolis, IN;3 great-grandchildren- Heather, Angie & Zachary; 6 nieces- Lodema Meece, Naomi Edwards, Catherine Gordon, Phyllis Perry, Fern Coonce, & Myrtle Kelley; 5 nephews- Victor Dunn, Jim Dunn, Wayne Dunn, Bill Dunn, & John Richard Hill.

In addition to her parents & husband, Fairiee was preceded in death by; 1 son, Billy Joel Adams; 1 daughter, Vern M. Adams; 3 brothers, Virgle, Lora & Francis Dunn; 4 sisters, Esther Gunn, Annie Hill, Ella Dunn, & Ivo Dunn; 1 niece, Sharon Sue Hatchett; 1 nephew, Norvell Dunn.

Fairiee was a homemaker & enjoyed flower gardening. She was a member of the Busby Chapel Church in Goreville, IL.

Fairiee leaves her family and many friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2003, at 1pm at the Busby Chapel Church in Goreville,IL. Rev. Kenneth Blumenstock will officiate. The boby will lie-in-state from 12 noon - 1pm Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the Busby Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8pm Tuesday evening, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL.
