Floyd Ford
Floyd Ford, 92, of Tamms, died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at Daystar Care Center in Cairo. He was born of James and Laura Spanfield Ford. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen, in 1983. He married Beulah Lamburth Heater on Jan. 10, 1986. Floyd was Baptist and attended Sandy Creek Baptist Church at Tamms. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Beulah of Tamms; 3 grandchild, Cully Ford of Rock Falls, IL. Tim Ford of Colorado., and Chris Ford of Prophepstown, IL; 2 sisters, Screlda Martin of Daytona Beach, FL and Marie Wilson of Mt. Vernon; 3 great grandchildren; Ronnie Young who he raised; 2 daughters-in-law; and a step granddaughter, Melinda Bigham of Tamms. He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, and 2 sons, Dwight Ford and Ron Ford. Funeral services for Floyd Ford was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 at Crain Funeral home in Tamms with Rev. Gene Hart officiating. Interment was in Busby Chapel Cemetery at Goreville. Visitation was from 5-8 Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. Crain Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of the arrangements.
