Illinois Woman, 94, Dies in Cape Girardeau
Mrs. Jesse Proctor, 94 years old of
Goreville, IL, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Francis Hospital. She
was admitted to the hospital Saturday night from the home of her
granddaughter, Mrs. M. M. Terry of this city.
Funeral services will be held at 3
o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home in Goreville with burial at the
Cana Cemetery. The body will remain at the Brinkopf-Howell funeral home
until 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Besides her granddaughter, she is
survived by a grandson, Dr. Paul V. Grisham of Cape Girardeau, three
great-grandchildren and nieces, Mrs. Maple Martin and Mrs. Nathan
Meisenheimer of Cape Girardeau.
Born Sep 22, 1853, in Tennessee, Mrs.
Proctor moved to Indiana when a small child. She later moved to
Goreville where she had resided since. Her husband, Joel Proctor,
passed away in 1930.
