Kathryn Huckelberry

Kathryn Huckelberry, daughter of Isaac H. Hook & Lula (Card) Hook, was born March 19, 1914 in Vienna ,IL. Kathryn departed this life Tuesday morning, October 11, 2005, at 6:10 AM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, IL.
At the time of her passing, Kathryn had attained the age of 91 years, 6 months & 23 days.


Kathryn was united in marriage to Homer Elmer Huckelberry on September 26, 1931 in Massac County Illinois.


Survivors include: Helen & Ernest Holmes of Plainfield, IN & Carolyn & Norman Jones of Vienna, IL; 4 Grandchildren – Mark & Mary Holmes, Cindy & Danny O’Brien, Debbie Jones, & Larry & Carole Jones; 8 Great Grandchildren – Jason, Corey, Carisa, Jerad, Jeremy, Jennifer, Kyle, & Josh; Several Nieces & Nephews.


In addition to her Parents & Husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by: an Infant Grandson – David Gary Holmes; 2 Sisters – Lucy Hook & Helen Hook; 3 Brothers – Robert Hook, James Hook & Herbert Hook.


Kathryn was a homemaker. She had been employed as a Certified Nurses Aide at the Hillview Health Care Center.


Kathryn was a past Worthy High Priestess of the Valley #108 White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a member & past Worthy Matron of Egyptian Chapter #30 Order of the Eastern Star. Kathryn had served as a sponsor for the Rainbow Girls organization.


Kathryn was the oldest member of the Vienna First Baptist Church. She loved cats & enjoyed crocheting.


Kathryn leaves her family & many dear friends to cherish her memory.


A Graveside Service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, October 12, 2005, at 3 PM at the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Huckleberry will officiate.
There will be no public visitation. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery at 2:45 PM.
