Lodema Hudgens

 Lodema Hudgens, 78, passed away Monday, July 25, 2005 at 3:26 P.M. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

Lodema was born October 29, 1926 to Guss & Esta (Kelley) Parrish in Williamson County. She married J. O. Hudgens on May 30, 1947 in Marion and together they have shared over 58 years of marriage. Lodema & J. O. lived in West Frankfort for 28 years before moving to Marion.

Lodema was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church of Herrin.

Survivors include: Husband – J. O. of Marion, One Son – Greg Hudgens of Marion, One Daughter – Karen Johns and husband Mark of West Frankfort Four Grandchildren: Kim & Rick Rowland of Christopher, Trent & Hayley Hudgens of Christopher, Vanessa & Kristopher Durfee of Paducah, Dane Johns of West Frankfort
One Great Grandchild – Alisia Durfee of Paducah, Two Sisters: Reola Howell of Marion, Evalena & Lester Ollis of Marion
Sister-in-law – Mary Lou Shoemaker of Indianapolis, IN. Several Nieces & Nephews

Preceded by: Parents, Two Brothers – Lester & Virgil Parrish

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ron Henwood officiating. Burial will follow in Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
