Lottie Austin Lottie Austin, 90, of Hillcrest Apartments, formerly of Simpson, died at 9:05 p.m. Monday, June 5, 1989, in Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Aly Funeral Home in Golconda, with burial in Kerley Cemetery east of Simpson. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Austin was homemaker. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church. She was born July 16, 1898, in Pope County to James and Mollie (Evitts) Wells. She married Olen Palmer. She later married Edwin Austin in 1931. He died in 1958. Survivors include one son, Everett Palmer of Golconda; found daughters, Cleo Allen, Flo Dunning and Maxine Huckleberry, all of Golconda, and Priscilla Robinson of Simpson; one stepson, Justin Austin of Palm City, Florida; one brother, Charles Wells of Montrose, Colo.: two sisters, Vertie Shrim of Simpson and Minnie Rogers of Metropolis; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. One son and three brothers also preceded her in death.
