Louis Weekly

Louis Weekly, son of Uyless Weekly & Della (Cummins) Weekly, was born June 23, 1910 in Metropolis, Illinois. He departed this life Sunday morning, April 23, 2006, at 6:45 AM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, Illinois. At the time of his passing, Louis had attained the age of 95 years and 10 months.

Louis was united in marriage to Frieda (Hill) Davis on December 23, 1994 in Vienna, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include: a Brother – John Weekly of Marion, IL; a Nephew – Ronnie & Joan Weekly of Simpson, IL; a Niece – Rosie Duty of Pittsburg, IL; a Great Nephew and 2 Great Nieces.

In addition to his Parents, Louis was preceded in death by 2 Brothers – Robert Weekly & Albert Weekly; and an infant Sister – Bessie Weekly.

Louis served as an airplane mechanic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Louis was a lifelong car dealer. He began selling cars at the age of 14 and operated Weekly Auto Sales in Peoria, IL for over 60 years.

Louis was a member of Simpson Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning, April 26, 2006, at 11 AM at the Simpson Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Martin will officiate. Interment will be in the Gilead Cemetery, near Simpson, IL. Friends may call from 5 PM - 8 PM Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
