Mary E. Harris

Mary E. Harris, age 89 years, a resident of Vienna, IL. passed away Friday morning , March 5, 2004, at 2:15am at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 4, 1915 in Vienna, IL. She was the daughter of John M. Sanders & Winnie (ALLBRITTEN) Sanders.

 Mary was united in marriage to Clyde Harris on September 16, 1933 in Metropolis, IL. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1975.

Survivors include: 2 Sisters - Evengeline Shelton & Opal Jones both of Spring Hill, FL; 3 Brothers - George Sanders of Cape Girardeau, MO. Charles Sanders of Lake Isabelle, CA. and Wendell Sanders of Spring Hill, FL; Relatives and many dear friends in Johnson County Illinois.

In addition to her Parents & Husband, Mary was preceded in death by; a Stepson - Donald Harris; a Brother - Marshall Sanders; and a Sister - Violet Sanders.

Mary was a homemaker. She had worked as a machine operator in a hosiery mill in Chester, IL.

Mary was a member of the Vienna Church of Christ.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10am Saturday, March 6, 2004, at the Berea Cemetery, southeast of Vienna, IL. Bro. Bill Brandstatter will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery at approx. 9:45am Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
