Maude Underwood

Maude Underwood, of La Moille, Ill., died Saturday October 9, 1971 in Mendota Community Hospital.

Services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Rev. Paul Maitland officiating. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Robinson Cemetery, Ozark, Ill. The Rev. Fred Neibel officiating.

She was born April 8, 1886 in Simpson, ILL. to Franklin and Malinda (THOMAS) Gray. She married Fred Albert Underwood on Sept. 20, 1903, in Simpson.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Floy L. of Stillwater, Okla.; Ronald G. of Troutman, N. C.; and Fredrick T. of Woodbridge, VA; a daughter Mrs. Robert (Bernice) De Long of La Moille; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a brother, Roy Gray of Simpson, and two sisters, Mrs. Lee (Gola) Dixon of Simpson and Miss Della gray on Indianapolis, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Underwood was a member of the First Baptist Church, La Moille, where memorials may be directed.
