Mildred Gage

Mildred Gage, daughter of Emmett Holloway & Oma (Barnett) Holloway, was born on March 29, 1924 in the Ganntown Community of Johnson County Illinois.
At the time of her passing, Mildred had attained the age of 80 years, 5 months & 12 days.

Mildred was united in marriage to Paul V. Gage on December 15, 1945 in the United Methodist Church parsonage at Harrisburg, IL. Paul preceded her in death on November 26, 2002.

Survivors include: A Son – Steve Gage, & his wife Dixie, of Girard, IL; A Grandson – Darby Ferguson, & his wife Alyssa, of Girard, IL; 2 Great Grandchildren – Kristen Ferguson & Jacob Ferguson; A Brother – Emmett Holloway, & his wife Bonita, of Joliet, IL.

In addition to her Parents & Husband, Mildred was preceded in death by: A Grandson – Derek Stewart Gage & A Sister – June Lyons.

Mildred, along with her husband Paul, owned & operated Gage’s Convenience Store from 1968 until the early 1980’s. They also operated a restaurant in Vienna for a number of years. Mildred was a member of the Vienna First Christian Church. She loved her home and devoted her attention & energies toward it.
Mildred leaves her family & many dear friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning, September 13, 2004, at 10:30 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Ed Hoke will officiate. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 PM Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
