Luther Gore, age 88, of Boles died Sunday, May 9, 1993 at his residence.

He was born in Missouri on July 3, 1904, the son of Joe B. and Lula Campbell Gore.

He married Lova Penrod in 1927.  She survives.

Other survivors are two sons:  Dallas G. of Lewistown and Billy D. of Peoria; three daughters, Glenna Hollenbeck of Boles, Clara Jones of Paducah, Ky., and Bonnie Feldscher of Vienna; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Mellie Marie Wells; a brother, Frank and four sisters, Edna Loftin, Mable James, Lone Portwood and Tilla Mae Turner.

He was a timber hauler.  He attended Cypress Church of God.

Visitation and funeral will be private.

Whitnel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
