by Gloria Gore He was born May 30, 1918, in Cypress to W. T. and Elvina Gore Adams. He married Sylvia Dunn in 1945. She preceded him in death in 1968. He then married Marcella Buford Webb in 1971. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church , a retired barber from the former Anna Mental Health Center and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Marcella Adams of Vienna; a daughter, Sandra Icenhower of Fairview Heights; a son, Greg Adams of Round Lake; two step-sons, Richard Webb of Tamms and Terry Webb of Omaha, Neb; two step-daughters, Karen Smithey of Nokesville, Va., and Virginia Mowery of Anna; two grandchildren; seven step- grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon Adams of Olive Branch; and a sister, Faye Beggs of Buncombe. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a step-grandson, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services for Doyle Adams will be today, Thursday, Jan. 16, at 1 p.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery at Cypress. Visitation was after 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna.
