Marilee Babbish

HERRIN – Marilee Sullivan Babbish, 79, of Herrin, formerly of Goreville, died at 6:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

     She was born on Nov. 30, 1934, in Goreville, a daughter of Lora and Lela Smith Sullivan.

     She was married on July 22, 1945, to Michael Babbish.

     She attended Draughns Business School in Paducah and worked in the Pentagon.  She was a Baptist.

     Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Maureen and Jim Morris of Belleville and Mary Ann and Vernon Haught of Creal Springs;  three grandchildren, Angela Dawn Haught, Lisa Meier, and Julie and husband Todd Brumley; three great grandchildren, Morgan Reid,  Bailey Setezkorn and Mackenzie Jackson; one sister, Martha Fly of Carbondale; and other relatives and friends.

     Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Crain Funeral Home Pleasant Grove Chapel, located on Old Illinois 13 between Carbondale and Murphysboro, with the Rev. Sally Hamon officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

     Memorials are suggested for Hospice of Southern Illinois.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
