by Gloria Gore Jack Beggs, as he was known by his many friends, lived his entire life in the Mt. Pisgah community and was loved by his neighbors. He was first married to Matilda Jane Gore Oct. 1, 1915, to which union 7 children were born. Two died in infancy, namely Donald and Ronald. The mother passed away April 22, 1938. Those who survive are Mrs. Vivian Brown, Elgin; Mrs. Ivogene Dunn, Vienna, Ill; Arizona, Loudene and Morris Dean all at home. He was united in marriage to Marie Rushing August 2, 1941. Besides his own children, he leaves to mourn his going, the wife and step-son, Ernest Jr. Rushing and one brother, R.M. Beggs of Evansville, Ind., two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Moake of Cypress, Ill., and Mrs. Ethel Osman of Dongola, Ill. He also leaves four grandchildren, a host of other relatives, and many friends. He professed faith in Christ about 10 years ago and lived a devoted member of the Church of God the remainder of his life. He was a good husband, loving father, a Christain gentleman, a wonderful neighbor, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Our loss is his eternal gain |
