Harry Thompson Bridges, Sr.

Harry T. Bridges Sr. the owner and editor of the Vienna Times passed away on Sept. 02, 1932 at the age of 60 years 7 months and 27 days. Born of pioneer parentage, his father, Henry T. Bridges and mother, Mary Carter in Vienna, Il. He was married to Sena Elizabeth Brooks and to this union seven children were born, four sons and three daughters, Mabel Bridges McCorkle, Harry Thompson, Jr., Royce Lee, William Francis, Lucile, James Albert, and Marian. Besides his wife and children he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Belle Cowsert and Mrs. Vesta Hogue, and nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives who sorrow with the entire community today at the passing of his earthly career. He was a member of the Christian Church where this service is being held. |
