Hubert Wayne Brown, 61, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Springfield, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the Glendale Samaritian Hospital in Glendale, Ariz.
   Born in Johnson County, Ill. Mr. Brown was the son of Huey and Purla Osman Brown and had been a resident of Phoenix for 21 years. He was married to Vivian Beggs, Jan. 14, 1935, in Vienna. He formerly was employed at the Pillsbury Mill Co.
     Surviving are his wife, Vivian; one son, Ronald W. of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Huffman of Peoria, Ariz. and Mrs. Donna Alama of Glendale, Ariz; two brothers. Lloyd C. and Roy H., both of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Lorene Gore of Springfield and Sylvia Beggs of Cypress and Mrs. Wilma Racey of Vienna; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;  several nieces and nephews.
   Vancil Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield, Ill.
