Mrs.
Elizabeth Brumitt of 369 N. Schuyler Ave. Kankakee, passed away there
on May 31, 1952, following an illness of several months duration.
Funeral services were held at the Cedar Grove Church on Tuesday
afternoon at 2:00 ,conducted by Rev. Everett Albright, Interment was in
Cedar Grove Cemetary.
Mrs. Brumitt was born in Goreville on Feb. 10, 1874. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary Ann Adams. She married Frank Brumitt on Nov.10, 1897. Her husband died Dec. 2 ,1918 from the great influenza epidemic of 1918. Surving are sons, Ira and William of Kankakee and Paul of Bonnie Illinois; daughters Mrs. Earl Harris of Bradley, Mrs. Fred Freier and Mrs. Geddis McEwan of South Bend Ind. and Mrs. Don Merritt of LaCrescenta, Calif.; step-sons, Lora of Kankakee and Ernest of Goreville; a sister, Mrs. Nora Billingsley of Goreville; a bother William Adams of Herrin; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
