MARION
-- Jessie Fisher, 86, of Marion passed away at 10:16 p.m. Friday, Jan.
12, 2007, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 in Blue
Funeral home in Marion with the Rev. Don Bethel officiating.
Burial well be in Rose hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from
1
to 2 p.m. Monday Jan. 15 in the funeral home. Memorials may
be
made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or may be sent care of
Blue funeral home, PO Box 411, Marion IL, 62959
Mrs. Fisher was born on March 6, 1920 in Goreville to Orie and Cecil
(Toler) Kirby. She married Russel Dean Fisher on July 4, 1941
in
Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2006.
Survivors also include her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and
Richard Thompson and Beverly and Alan Dean all of Marion; son and
daughter-in-law, Russel and Ellen Fisher of Pittsburg; grandchildren,
Michael Baker, Brent Baker, Lisa McGovern, David and Brooke Dean Allen
Fisher, Glen Fisher, Sarah Palmer and Rachael Palmer; great
grandchildren, Jessica Baker, Douglas McGovern, Lynsey McGovern,
Ashleigh Wilson, Lani Dean, Kami Dean and Kelly Fisher; son-in-law,
Richard Palmer; brother-in-law, Gene Snider; niece, Jane Ann and
Russell Keene; special cousin Jimmy and Betty Bennette, Delores and
Jack Potter, Brenda and Bruce Botcher; many Kirby cousins from
Goreville.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; husband; daughter, Bonnie Palmer; sister Janie Holmes; and
nephew, Billy Dunning.
Mrs. Fisher was a
homemaker, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, and
grandmother. She enjoyed her
grandchildren. She was a
member of First Baptist church.
