Kerley

Services for Randal L. "Randy" Kerley, 34, of Vienna will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home. The Revs.
Norman Hill Jr. and David Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery, north of Simpson.

Mr. Kerley died in an automobile accident at 5:40 p.m. Saturday near Simpson.

He was a 1985 graduate of Vienna High School and he attended Nashville Auto Diesel College. Mr. Kerley was a member and union steward of
AFSCME local 415. He served as Democratic precinct committeeman for the Bloomfield township.

Mr. Kerley had been employed as a correctional officer at the Vienna Correctional Center since February 1999. He was previously employed as a
mechanic by Bob Harper Ford-Mercury in Vienna for eight years. He had also worked as a welder at Transcraft Inc. in Anna.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cathy Walker Kerley; one son, Derrek Kerley of Vienna; one daughter, Lauran Kerley of Vienna; his father and stepmother, Roy and Elizabeth Ann Kerley of Simpson; his mother and stepfather, Jennie and Raymond Clardy of Eddyville; six brothers, Robert
Orr of Glendale, Joseph Glen Kerley of
Buncombe, Dale Leggett and Raymond Clardy Jr., both of Vienna, and Troy Don Kerley and Adam Roy Kerley, both of Simpson; four sisters, Tamra
Hicks of Golconda, Rachel Clardy of Simpson, Melissa Orr of Paducah, and Leah Kenney of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Sheldon Blake Kerley. His grandparents were Orlan and Lassie Kerley; Richard and Sarah Johnson; Glen Gilliatt and Helen Gilliatt-Warren; and Herbert and
Nettie Clardy.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. today, and from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to an educational savings fund for Derrek and Lauran Kerley, c/o VCC Credit Union, 1895 State Route 146E, Vienna, IL 62995; or to the Heather Harper-Treat Memorial Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 98, Vienna, IL 62995. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
