Delphia D. Livesay

Delphia D. Livesay, 100, of Mt. Vernon and formerly of Benton, passed away
at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital
in Mt. Vernon.
She was born in Goreville on Sunday, Aug. 9, 1908, a daughter of Lee and Adeline (Eskew) Davis. She married Paul D. Livesay on Nov. 20,
1925, and he preceded her in death in October of 1987.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton with Mr. Randy Sells officiating. Interment will follow.There will be no public visitation.
Delphia is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Price of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren, Gary Price and wife Brenda of Mt. Vernon, Rebecca Price
of Centralia, Douglas Price and wife Jan of Mt. Vernon and Timothy Price and
wife Kathy of Paducah, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, David and Caleb Price of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents; her husband; two brothers, Harry and Dr. Eddie Davis; and two sisters, Anna McDonald and Pauline Choate, preceded her in death. Delphia was of the Methodist faith and was a homemaker. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home where you may call 242-3348.
