James Robert Morris
VIENNA, Ill.--Services for James Robert Morris, 82, of Vienna will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home with the Rev. Everett Ray Henson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Nelson Cemetery. Mr. Morris died at 9:45 p.m. Monday at the home of his daughter, Darlene Burgandine of Vienna. A native of Grantsburg, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a life member of Beggs-Gurley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5222. Mr. Morris was employed as a welder and boilermaker. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Besides his daughter, he is survived by two sons, Richard Morris of Benton, Ky., and William Morris of Hardin, Ky.; two sisters, Glenna Henson of Golconda and Roberta Petty of Simpson; two brothers, Sam Morris of Belknap and Wiley Robert Morris Jr. of Lick Creek; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, James Daniel Morris and Robert Joel Morris; one great-grandson; two brothers; and one sister. His parents were Wiley Robert "Buck" Morris Sr. and Pruda Elizabeth Tapley Morris. Friends may call after 6 this evening at the funeral home.
