by her granddaughter About 20 years ago he was married to Miss Pearl Gold and to this union five children were born: Bertie, Lorraine, Ernest, Mary Marie, and Dorothy Belle, all of whom are living and are left to meet the trials of life without the guiding hand of either father or mother. The mother died some six years ago. Besides the children, he leaves an aged mother, two brothers, Luther and Fred and two sisters, Mrs. Rolla Stone and Mrs. Charles Short, all living in this community. He was stricken with ill health about three years ago and although he made a noble fight to regain his health and strengthen, he bore his suffering silently and patiently. Before passing away he expressed himself as being prepared to meet his Maker in Peace. (He is buried in Simpson Cemetary beside his wife, Pearl.) |
