Pearl Kerley
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m.,
Wednesday, at Aly Funeral Home, Vienna, for Pearl M. Kerley, 85,
Vienna, who died at 9:20 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3, 1985 at Lourdes
Hospital, Paducah, Ky.
The Revs. Jerry Miller and Willard Murray officiated, with burial in
Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Mrs. Kerley was born in Johnson county, Feb. 18, 1899, daughter of
William and Mary Lay Grissom. On May 16, 1920, she was married to
Carney V. Kerley, who preceded her in death Sept. 10, 1965.
She is survived by one son, William A. Kerley, Vienna, two daughters,
Dr. Lorene K. Wills, Vienna, and Iverne Slack, Decatur, six
grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, three sisters, and
three brothers.
Mrs. Kerley was a retired postal clerk at Simpson Post Office, and a
retired farmer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Vienna, Johnson County Senior Citizens, and the Johnson County Farm
Bureau.
