Ralph E. "Fisherman" Burlison

Ralph E. "Fisherman" Burlison, age 84, a resident of Vienna, passed away Wednesday, July3 2002, at 9a.m. at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born April 18, 1918 in Johnson Co. Illinois. He was the son of Edgar Burlison and Nora Audrey (THORNTON) Burlison.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Hansell and her husband Mike of Kissimmee, Fl. Judy Gribbs and her husband Gary of Reynoldsville, Carla Hill of Carterville; three sons, Randal Burlison and his wife Linda of Goreville, Darrell Burlison and his wife Cathy of Goreville and Delmar Burlison of Goreville; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a special friend- Sophronia McRavens of Jonesboro.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wives, Beatrice Burlison and Alma (PYLAND) Burlison and a brother, Lowell "Shorty" Burlison.

He was a retired railroad employee. He was a member of Saline Masonic Lodge #339 AF & AM at Goreville. Ralph was an avid fisherman.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6 2002, at 11a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.

Burial was in the Busby Chapel Cemetery.

Masonic rites conducted at 7p.m. Friday under the auspices of Saline Masonic Lodge #339 AF & AM.
