Ralph Webb
Ralph Webb, son of Owen Webb & Emma (Mighell) Webb, was born May 5,
1937 in Buncombe, IL. He departed this life Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 at
2:30 PM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, IL. At the time of
his passing, he had attained the age of 67 years, 5 months, and 11 days.
Survivors include: 1 Son & Daughter-in-Law – Lyle & Roberta
Webb of Spring Hill, TN; 1 Daughter & Son-in-Law – Angela &
Len Dollarhide of Branson, MO; 12 Grandchildren – Melanie Knupp, Brent
McHugh, Brian McHugh, Brian Troutwine, Dustin Troutwine, Tristen Webb,
Owen Webb, Jennifer Drake & her husband Zachary, Gary Smith, Amanda
Smith, Matthew Smith, & Fayeth Dollarhide; 4 Brothers &
Sisters-in-Law – Owen Lee & Mary Wilma Webb of the Buncombe
community; Ramon & Irene Webb of the Buncombe community; Ronald
& Virginia Webb of Cypress, IL; and Raleigh & Patricia Webb of
Anna, IL. 1 Sister – Joyce Reichert of Vienna, IL; and several nieces
and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a sister,
Sylvia Webb.
Ralph was a 1955 graduate of Vienna High School and a US Army veteran.
He had been employed as an over the road truck driver. Ralph was a
member of the Luther’s Chapel Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending
time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was a dear
friend to all. He was often referred to as Walter Matthau or “Mr.
Wilson.” Ralph leaves his family and many dear friends to cherish his
memory.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 11 AM at
the Community of Christ (Webb) Church near Tunnel Hill, IL. High Priest
Glenn Webb will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday
evening, Oct. 19, at Bailey Funeral Home and from 10-11 AM Wednesday
morning, Oct. 20, at Webb Church. Interment will be in the Webb
Cemetery, near Tunnel Hill. Military graveside rites will be accorded at
the cemetery by the Beggs-Gurley VFW Post #5222.
