Roger Dean Williams Roger Dean Williams, 35, of 401 N. 11th died at 5:32 p.m. Saturday, Dec.16, 1989, in Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church, with burial in Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. today at Whitnel Funeral Home in Vienna, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church. The family requests no flowers. Mr. Williams was a Lieutenant of Security at the Shawnee Correctional Center. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Vienna Grade School Board of Education. He was born May 15, 1954, in Robbs to Leo and Lawanda (BROWN) Williams. He married Ruth Reid in 1976. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Travis and Justin Williams, both of Vienna; one daughter, Jill Williams of Vienna, his parents of Vienna, and one brother, Chesley Williams of Vienna.
