Scott Ames

Scott Ames, son of Jim Ames & Emily (HELMS) Ames, was born January 8, 1978 at the Marion Memorial Hospital in Marion, Illinois. he departed this life Thursday afternoon, November 13, 2003, at 1:48 PM at the Barnes- Jewish Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri. At the time of his passing Scott had attained the age of 25 years, 10 months, & 5 days.

Survivors include: His Father - Jim Ames of Anna, IL; His Mother - Emily Ames of Carbondale. Il; a Brother - Matthew Ames of Metropolis, Il; His Maternal Grandmother - June Helms of Vienna, IL; His Paternal Grandmother - Lois Ames of Vienna, IL; His "Most Important" - Gillian Grasher; His faithful Boxer - "Fearless," and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other Relatives & many dear Friends, including his Doctors, Nurses, & Medical Staff.

Scott was preceded in death by; His Paternal Grandfather - Raymond Ames and His Maternal Grandfather - Clark Helms.

Scott was a 1996 graduate of Vienna High School. He enjoyed golf, playing "Play Station" and cooking. Scott  was an accomplished artist, and enjoyed drawing. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed raising dogs.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, November 17, 2003, at 1:30 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, near Buncombe, IL.

Friends may call after 5 PM Sunday at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
