Serina Haley Deshae "Scoot" McMurtry

Serina Haley Deshae "Scoot" McMurtry, daughter of David W. Pease & Amanda K. (McMURTRY) Pease, was born March 11, 1999 at Carbondale, IL. She departed this life Wednesday morning, February 11, 2004 at 4:46am at the Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Illinois. At the time of her passing, Serina had attained the age of 4 years and 11 months.

Serina is survived by; Her Mother - Amanda Pease of Metropolis, IL; Her father - David Pease of Grand Chain, IL;    a Sister  -  McKenzie Pease of Metropolis, IL; Maternal Grandparents - Ronnie McMurtry of Marion, IL. & LeAnn Funk of Cypress, IL; Paternal Grandparents - David L. Pease of Grand Chain, IL. & Diane Swinger of Dexter, MO; Great Grandparents - Lee Faulkner of Grantsburg, IL, Kathy Lane of Olmsted, Shirley Dunn of Cypress, IL, & Claude Pease of Paducah, KY; an Aunt - Jessica McMurtry; 3 Uncles - Tim McMurtry, Josh McMurtry, & Daniel Pease.

Serina went through 4 years of physical struggle & surgeries. But, she always maintained a positive & upbeat attitude; she hardly ever cried. She was a joy to her family & friends. Serina loved Barbie dolls. 

Serina leaves her family & friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2004, at 2pm at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Interment will be in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery.
