Virginia Hogshead

Virginia N. Hogshead, daughter of James Patton & Mary Ruth Patton, was born October 3, 1911 in Tilden, IL. She departed this life Friday morning, June 27, 2003, at the Adams Place Assisted Living Center in Murfreesboro, TN. At the time of her passing, Virginia had attained the age of 91 years 8 months & 24 days.

Virginia was united in marriage to Leslie Marion Hogshead. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: 2 Sons - Tom Hogshead of Murfreesboro, TN and James Hogshead of Cincinnati, OH; 3 Sisters - Dorothy Campbell of Marissa, IL, Marjorie Patton of Freeburg, IL, and Marie Patton of Marissa, IL; 4 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren.

Virginia had worked as a Case Worker for the Illinois Public Welfare Dept. She was a member of the Vienna First United Methodist Church.

Virginia was a member and Past Matron of Egyptian Chapter # 30 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the former Valley # 108 White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Virginia leaves her family & many friends to cherish her memory.

A Graveside Service will be conducted Saturday, June 28, 2003, at 2 PM at the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Rev. Ed Hoke will officiate. Friends may call from 1 PM - 1:45 PM Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Eastern Star rites will be accorded by Egyptian Chapter # 30 O.E.S.
Memorials may be made to the Vienna First United Methodist Church.
