Taken From the Tonica New, Tonica, IL

The Commissioners of Highways for the Town of Eden, County of LaSalle and State of Ill., will meet at the office of the Town Clerk, in Tonica, Saturday, June 19th, 1875, at 2 o'clock, pm. For the purpose of receiving bids and letting the contract for the building of stone piers for 4 bridges, located as follows: One on the county line near Henry Pletche's; one in district 4 on the west branch of Cedar Creek, between the farms of Batton and Roeder; one in district 5, near C. McCoy's and one is district 6, near Barnes. The work is to be done by the yard, the contractor furnishing all the material. Bidders may bid on one, two or all, or on each one seperately, care being taken to state plain in their application. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
