These are notes from Cindy and I tried to identify what I could. The old wooden trough was the first well in Franklin Grove. The larger two story building was a hotel that was near by the railroad and train depot ( on main street) . The man sitting in the store was a relative of ours, Bill Zoeller, who ran an ice cream sundry. the other store building shown, was Mae Kellys store. the two sotry building downtown was called the Phoenix Hotel, there is the picture of the methodist Episcolpal chrusch, and view of front entrance. , a picture of the Franklin Grove Community Band, a couple pictures of Franklin Creek at Sunday's Bridge and Lahman's Bluff areas, the Franklin grove railroad tracks, and pictures of family whom I have no idea who they are.. might be from the Herman Kohl/ Bill Zoeller family... If anyone knows who they are please let us know...
