EDITH (PALMER) TALMADGE , 95, of 404 E. Chamberlain St., Dixon, died Sunday at Lee County Nursing Home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, with Rev. Darrell Sample, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until the hour of service. A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Talmadge was born Feb. 10, 1895, in Princeton, the daughter of David and Alta (Boleus) Palmer. She married Harry J. Talmadge Jan. 17, 1919 in Dixon. He died Jan. 16, 1962. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Files, LaJolla, Calif. She was preceded in death by one daughter and one son.

PEARL R. TAUBENHEIM , 86, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at her home in Dixon after a long illness. She was born Aug. 18, 1916, in Amboy, the daughter of George W. and Bessie Ball Pankhurst. Pearl married Edward R. Taubenheim, May 2, 1936, in Dixon he died Nov. 15, 1997. Pearl was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include son, Larry (Carolyn) Taubenheim of McFarland, Wis, daughters, Edna Frye of Peru, Joyce Warrenfeltz of Dixon and LaVon (Gary) Zika of Sun Prairie, Wis. nine grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren and sister, Marion Fassler of Washington state. Also predeceased by sister, Amy Dunbar. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in Lyons Cluts-Simes Funeral Home, Main and Richardson streets in Ashton. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in Franklin Grove Cemetery, with Wallace Karper officiating. Memorial established for KSB Hospice, c/o KSB Hospital in Dixon. 4-23-2

ADDIE MAE (DURR) TERRY , 85, of Mendota, Illinois, died Friday, February 15, 2002 at Heritage Manor in Mendota. She was born January 26, 1917 in Lee, Illinois to Elmer and Minnie Mae (Marks) Durr. She grew up in Earlville and graduated from Earlville High School in 1935. She was an artist of oil painting, wrote poetry of her life and her family's experiences and enjoyed music. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2002 at Hanley-Turner Funeral Home in Earlville with the Rev. Brian Wangler officiating. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery in Paw Paw, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at Hanley-Turner Funeral Home (815-246-6491). Pallbearers will be Edward Terry, Randy Terry, Donald E. Terry, Kirk Terry, Tom Kratzer and Mike Galvan. Honorary Pallbearer will be Floyd Dewey. She is survived by her husband, Randall Terry of Mendota; one daughter, Marilyn (David) Breese of Cocoa, FL; three sons, Randall E. "Gene" (Carol) Terry of Bristol, IL, Jerry B. (Darlene) Terry of Brooksville, FL and Donald B. (Rita) Terry of Ottawa, IL; five grandsons, six granddaughters, 29 great grandchildren and two great-great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lorraine Weiland, and two granddaughters, Tracy Ann Lampkin and Susan Denise Robbins.

RANDALL BRYCE TERRY , 87, of Mendota, IL, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa, IL. He was born June 15, 1918 in rural Earlville, IL, the son of Irvin C. and Mary M. (Wangler) Terry. He married Addie Mae Durr on October 21, 1943 in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the LaSalle County Farm Bureau. He farmed his entire life in the Paw Paw and Harding areas, retiring in the fall of 1988 and moving to Mendota. He enjoyed the simple life, country music, the cabin at Lake Kegonsa, WI and above all he loved and enjoyed his family. He is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (David) Breese of Cocoa, FL; three sons, Randall E. "Gene" (Carol) Terry of Bristol, IL, Jerry B. (Darlene) Terry of Brooksville, FL, and Donald Bryce (Rita) Terry of Ottawa, IL; grandchildren, Edward (Penny) Terry of Ottawa, IL, DeAnna (Michael) Galvan of Ottawa, IL, Randy (Becky) Terry of Robinson, IL, Jeanna (Joseph) Brusherd of Honduras, Angela (Edwin) Wollet of Pontiac, IL, Donald Eugene (Lee Ann) Terry of Ottawa, IL, Karen Fisher of Littleton, CO, Pam (Mike) Barz of Lily Lake, IL, Lori (Tom) Kratzer of Newark, IL, Darin (Kate) Terry of Hayes, KS and Kirk Terry of Largo, FL; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Irvin (Gladys) Terry of Rochelle, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Addie Mae; two granddaughters, Tracy Ann Lampkin and Susan D. (Terry) Robbins; three brothers, Wesley Terry, Ralph Terry and one in infancy. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Turner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Rev. Brian Wangler officiating. Burial will follow at Wyoming Cemetery in Paw Paw, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the funeral home. Pall bearers will be Edward Terry, Randy Terry, Donnie Terry, Tom Kratzer, Mike Barz and Kirk D. Terry. Honorary pall bearers will be Sergeant First Class Michael Galvan and Edwin Wollet.

JENNIE (SEIDEL) THUMMEL , 89, formerly of 504 2nd Ave., Sterling, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday (2 March 1970) in Sterling Colonial Acres Rest home after an extended illness. The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Behrens Mortuary by the Rev. Luther Cooperrider, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Prairieville Cemetery. There will be visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Behrens Mortuary. Mrs. Thummel was born June 19, 1880 near Dillon, Kan., the daughter of Joshua and Louise Lederer Seidel. In 1884 she came with her parents to a farm near Prairieville. She attended the Dillon and Prairieville schools, also Sterling High School and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was married Oct. 21, 1904 to Lloyd Thummel by the late Rev. W. C. Seidel at the home of her parents in Prairieville. Mr. and Mrs. Thummel lived on a farm at Prairieville until February 1931 when they moved to Sterling. Mr. Thummel preceded in death in June 1949. Surviving are one son, Leroy Thummel of Rock Falls RFD 1; two daughters, Mrs. Wilson (Vera) Garland of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Peter (Leila) Kirwin of Chicago; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren, one brother, Frank Seidel of Sterling, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Royer and Mrs. Pearle Grachling of Sterling. She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and three sisters. A memorial has been established.

ROBERT C. TORMAN , 65, 3528 HowIett Road, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1993, in Rochelle Community Hospital. Born Aug. 7, 1928, in Earlville, son of Harold and Eleanore Hill Torman. Married Janice Keenan in Leland, Aug. 1, 1948. Graduate or Paw Paw High School; attended Bradley university and graduated from Worshams School of Mortuary Science. He owned and operated the Torman & Sons Funeral Home, Paw Paw, and Torman & Sons Furniture Store in Earlville. Member of First Presbyterian Church Paw Paw, Mendota Elks Lodge B.P.O.E, Mendota Moose Lodge 714 Paw Paw, Lions Club, Brooklyn Masonic Lodge 282, Compton, and Paw Paw Fire Department. Former fire chief; member or Illinois Fire Chief Association, Naional Funeral Directors Association, Hingis Funeral Directors Association and Northern Illinois Funeral Directors Association. He has been Lee County deputy coroner the last 37 years. Survivors include his wife, Janice; two sons, Charles (Christina) Torman, Galesburg, and Scott (Patty) Tormon,. PavJ~Pafo; daughter. Barb (Jim) Terry, Huntley; six grandchildren; parents, Harold and Eleanore Paw Paw; brother, John (Jackie) Torman, Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Sandra (Richard) Cockream, Earlville, and Pat Stevens, Indianapolis. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery.

LYLE M. TUESTAD , age 57, of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, formerly of Waterman, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 30, 2001.
