Ancona History
Livingston County, Illinois

Another community of Reading Township is the village of Ancona, with a population of 125. It is located southwest of Streator on the Santa Fe Railroad.

It was platted in 1854 for Orson Shackleton and Joseph Gumm, owners of the site.
