LOST CERTIFICATES

Of Land purchased of the Unted States.
Puplic Notice is hereby given, that three weeks after date, application will be made to the Register of the Land Office at Edwardsville, for the renewal of two certificates in my name, for the west half of the south-east quarter of section No. 23, township No. 5, north of range No. 4 west; and the south-west quarter of section No. 24 in township No. 5, north of range No. 4 west -- both in the district of Edwardsville, the originals having been destryed. Given under my hand, at Edwardsville, this 30th day of July, 1821.

Personally appeared before me, the undersigned, a justice of the peace in and for said county, Samual Hunter, who being duly sworn, deposes that two certain land certificates which he held, for the west half of the south-east quarter of section No. 23, in twonship No. 5, north of range No. 4 west; and the south-west quarter of section 24, in township No. 5, north of range No. 4 west, both in the district of Edwardsville, have been accidentally destroyed, and that he has never transferred his right to any person whosoever.

UNITED STATES CIRCUIT COURT- EXECUTION NO. 824.
From the United States Circuit Court, for the Southern District of Illinois, in favor of Reuben D. Harshman and Jonathan H. Gourman, and against Alfred N. Russell, I have levied upon the following property, to wit:
Lots No. eighty-eight and eighty nine, in James Semple's addition to the city of Alton. and situated on the west side of State street, fronting thirty-three feet each on said street, and running back one hundred and twenty feet; also, lot No. 6, in block two, in Topping's addition to the city of Alton, in Madison County, state of Illinois; which I shall expose to
public sale, on the 26th day of May, at the court house door in the city of Springfield, to the highest and best bidder, for ready money. Sale to commence between the hours of 9 o'clock A.M. and sunset of said day.
Dated this 3d day of May, 1860.

UNITED STATES CIRCUIT COURT - EXECUTION NO. 843.
From the United States circuit Court for the southern district of Illinois, in favor of
James Frewin, and against Cornelius G. Mauzy, I have levied upon the following property, to wit:
a lot of land in block eight, beginning at the north-east corner of lot No. fifteen, and running thence on the east line of said lot sixty-three feet;
thence west twenty-five feet; thence north sixty-three feet; thence east on Third street twenty-five feet, to the place of beginning. Also, a lot of land in block eight,
beginning at a point on the south line of Third street, sixty feet east from the north-west corner; thence south sixty-three feet;
thence east twenty-nine feet to the place of beginning. The aforesaid tracts of land platted by Rutus Easton,
in city proper, in the city of Alton, County of Madison, state of Illinois.
Also, the south-east quarter north-west quarter section three, and the east half north-west quarter section ten, township one north, range four east, containing one hundred and twenty acres, in Marion county, state of Illinois: which I shall expose to public sale, on the 7th day of June, at the court house door in the city of Springfield, to the highest and best bidder, for ready money.
Sale to commence between the hours of nine (9) o'clock A.M. and sunset of said day.
Dated this 12th day of May, 1860.
