Mrs Charles Farthing died in Chicago on Friday, December 6,1932, following an operation.  She was before her marriage Miss Lila Davidson and was born August 1, 1899 at Tonti, IL where she spent her childhood.  She is survived by her husband, 4 children, her father and mother, Mr/Mrs Ben Davidson, and one brother, William Davidson.  Funeral services were held at the Cubbage Chapel Church near Tonti...... Miss Amanda Foster passed away at the home of her nephew, Mr Thomas Shaffer, south of Brubaker, Monday evening aged 82y,4D.  The deceased had been a life long resident of the community.  She had been making her home with her nephew for the past 3 yrs.  Amanda, youngest daughter of Thomas and Nancy Hickeson Foster, was born near what is now Brubaker on Jan.29, 1854, where she lived most of her life, and departed this life Feb. 3, 1936.  .....(no date)
