Lillian Garrett
Early Sunday morning, March 8, our neighborhood was saddened when
Mrs. Tom Garrett passed away.  Her death came as a severe shock to everyone.  Lillian Josephine, youngest daughter of Mr./Mrs Frank Doudera, was born in Foster Township, November 16, 1911, and was called back to her Heavenly home Sunday morning, March 8 , 1936 at the age of 24y, 3m 21d.  On April 6, 1935, she was united in marriage to Thomas Lyle Garrett, and to this union a little son, John Robert......(no date)



Rufina Garrett
Rufina Helen Howell, daughter of James F and Isabelle Jane Howell, was born near Kinmundy, IL.  February 24, 1861, and departed this life at her home in Kinmundy, November 30, 1932,  aged 71y, 9m, 6d.  She was united in marriage April 20,1883 to Benjamin Garrett, who preceded her in death November 16,1916.
...Funeral services were held from the Christian Church Friday afternoon, Rev. L. V. Lovell officiating.  Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery.



Gertrude Gerton
Centralia - Gertrude Gerton, the 3 year old daughter of Peter Gerton, was burned to death by the explosion of a carbide lamp. The child was burned almost beyond recognition, the explosion taking place when she was within a few feet of the lamp.

John Gibson
John Gibson, a native of Marion County whose success in the business world has been little short of phenomenal, died Sunday at his lake home in Bartlesville, Okla., the body arriving here for interment in East Lawn Cemetery at 11:00am.  Mr Gibson was born and reared in Alma, the son of a Methodist Minister, but left Marion County when a young man.  After spending some time in the wetern states he settled in Preston, Iowa, where he was engaged in the mining and banking business.  He was the builder of the Chicago Colosseum and later spent several years in the Philippine Islands where he organized the Philippine Lumber Company.  .....(March 26,1932)
